Employers and private landlords have a legal responsibility to keep your staff and tenants safe and appliance testing is one of the most effective ways to ensure this. PAT testing will make sure that you comply with The Housing (Scotland) Act 2006 and the Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) is a standard inspection of the electrical appliances in your property or premises to ensure that they are safe for continued use.
Faulty electrical appliances can be extremely dangerous, increasing risk of potentially fatal incidents such as fire and electrocution of yourself, your employees, and customers. But this risk can be managed and minimised through regular checks.
